Anafi Hiking Escape | Easter in the Cyclades

Anafi is an island of deep history, authentic character and rare tranquility. According to mythology, it is the island of the Argonauts, where Apollo revealed the land from darkness to save them from the storm.

Located at the south-easternmost edge of the Cyclades, Anafi remains one of the most untouched and peaceful islands of the Aegean. Easter is the ideal time to visit, offering perfect temperatures for hiking and a slow rhythm of life that allows true connection with nature and landscape.

On this journey by Wanderlust Outdoor Activities & Travel, hiking is the main way of exploration. Anafi unfolds step by step, from altitude to coastline, from ancient myth to raw natural beauty.

🔶 Why Easter in Anafi

Easter in Anafi offers something truly rare in the Cyclades: space, silence and ideal hiking conditions.

It is the period when the island preserves its authentic character, free from crowds and pressure, allowing a meaningful exploration experience. For those seeking hiking holidays in the Cyclades, Easter in Anafi is an exceptional choice.

🔶 Architecture and settlement

Small domed houses, narrow whitewashed labyrinth-like alleys leading to the Venetian castle define the landscape of Anafi’s settlement.

Anafi Chora preserves pure and minimal Cycladic architecture, fully integrated into the natural terrain, without touristic alterations.

Anafi craftsmen carried this architectural identity to Athens, building the famous Anafiotika district. Anafi does not imitate Cycladic architecture. It is its origin.
