Trekking With Your Dog at Schinias National Park

On Saturday, February 14, Trekking With Your Dog, one of the most distinctive projects of Wanderlust Outdoor Activities & Travel, will take place at the Schinias National Park. An experience that brings people and their dogs closer through the joy of hiking in nature.

Wanderlust, the first to introduce organized dog-friendly hikes in Greece, continues with consistency a project that has been embraced by hundreds of participants over the years.

🔶 Activity Description

Schinias is the largest coastal wetland in Attica and one of the most important in Eastern Greece. The wetland is a key stop during spring and autumn migration, hosting numerous bird species traveling to their breeding and wintering grounds.

The project is led by Petros Sidereas, founder of CityZen Dogs and coordinator of the sibling project Training With Your Dog. With solid expertise and a clear methodology, he offers guidance and added value in every activity. Participation is also open to those who wish to join without a dog.

Wanderlust offers two free participation spots with dogs from animal shelters, allowing them to experience hiking in nature as well. Volunteers from animal welfare organizations may contact us to express their interest.

• Meeting point: Schinias National Park
• Only fixed leashes allowed — no choke collars
• It is recommended that dogs do not eat 6–8 hours before the activity
• Up-to-date electronic health booklet is required
• Bring treats, water, bowl, favorite toy, and waste bags
