Trekking With Your Dog – Schinias

On Sunday, December 21st, Trekking With Your Dog – one of the most defining projects of Wanderlust Outdoor Activities & Travel – will take place at the Schinias National Park. An experience that brings people and their dogs closer through the joy of hiking in nature.

Wanderlust, the first organization in Greece to introduce guided dog-friendly hiking activities, continues a project that has been loved by hundreds of participants over the years.

🔶 Activity Description

Schinias is the largest coastal wetland in Attica and one of the most important in Eastern Greece. The wetland serves as a crucial stopover during spring and autumn migration, where numerous bird species travel to their summer and winter habitats.

The project is led by Petros Sidereas, founder of CityZen Dogs and instructor of the sister project Training With Your Dog. With expertise and a clear methodology, he provides guidance and value in every activity. The experience is also open to participants who wish to join without a dog.

Wanderlust offers two free spots for shelter dogs so they too can enjoy the experience of hiking in nature. Volunteers from animal welfare organizations may contact us to express interest.

All essential information for a safe participation with your dog.

• Meeting point: Schinias National Park
• Only fixed leashes are allowed — no choke collars
• It is recommended that your dog does not eat for 6–8 hours before the activity
• Valid electronic health booklet required
• Bring treats, water, bowl, favorite toy, and waste bags
